ArchitectureUbosot Wat Ratbophit Sathitmahasimaram
The interior of Ubosot represents the combination of Thai traditional art and western art. Walls and ceilings are decorated with golden floral-foliage motifs, as well as between each window which represents the Unalom sign and the alphabet จ. which is the first letter of the name of King Rama V.The interior central door pediment represents the Emblem of Thailand in the reign of King Rama V which comprises the Royal Regalia, the Emblem of the Royal House of Chakri, Erawan elephant, a white elephant, a Kris, Knight Grand Cordon (Special Class) of the Most Illustrious Order of Chula Chom Klao, seven-tiered umbrella flanked by a lion and a Gajasimha. The upper wall was painted in narrative scenes designed by Prince Prawit Chumsai, a significant artist and craftsman in the reign of King Rama V. In the middle of Ubosot, there is the main Buddha Image in meditation seated in cross-legged position on an Italian marble pedestal. The image is made of bronze and gold. The gold used was once the King Rama V’s ornament since his childhood. Over the Buddha Image, there is a Royal Nine-tiered white umbrella which was once used in the Royal funeral of King Rama V. Beneath the marble pedestal, relics of King Rama II, King Rama III, King Rama IV, King Rama V and King Rama VII were kept.

The Mother of Pearl inlaid panels concist of 5 Royal Decorations as follows: 1.the Ancient and Auspicious Order of the Nine Gems, 2.the Most Illustrious Order of the Royal House of Chakri, 3.Knight Grand Cordon (Special Class) of the Most Illustrious Order of Chula Chom Klao, 4.Knight Grand Cross (First Class) of the Most Exalted Order of the White Elephant, and 5.Knight Grand Cross (First Class) of the Most Noble Order of the Crown of Thailand. Made of small shards of pearl, each of these motifs is surrounded by a shoulder strap and a chain depicting the initial of the King Rama 9’s name, namely จ.ป.ร. and the Emblem of the Royal House of Chakri. These motifs represent the high-ranked Royal Decorations.

The Ubosot is a masonry building in traditional Thai style. Its pediment is decorated with traditional Thai roof finials, gilded and ornamented with glass mosaics. The building has square masonry supporting columns without lotus caapital. The boundary wall’s exterior framings surrounding the Ubosot are decorated with marble bas-relief sculptures depicting Ramayana or Rammakian. The doors’ exterior panels are decorated with pearl inlay depicting figures of character in Rammakian, while the interior panels are decorated with lacquer works depicting fans of rank for Phra Rachakhana, Phra Khru Sanyabat and Phra Khru Thananukrom belonging to the Gamavasi and the Arannavasi sections from both pronvinces and bangkok. The mural painting of the Ubosot is painted: the panels above the interior window casings depict Mahosadha pandit or Mahā Ummagga Jātaka, the walls between door and window casings display the stories of the top disciples, and the interior window panels are decorated with lacquered position seals of the monk leaders in the cities and in the provinces during the reign of King Rama III. The exterior window panels are carved in Kaeochingduang patterns or overlapping circles and lozenge flowers.

The ubosot is a Thai traditional building, masonry Building. The roof is stacked layers wood with tiles. The gable decorate with gable apex, bairaka, Haghgss and posture of Naga. It is assumed that the work was in post King Rama III reign. There are more decorative decorations that use symbols, which were characteristic of the reign of King Rama IV. The gable of ubosot has two layers, the upper layer is Tripitaka on phan(tray with pedestal) flanked by the candlestick. The lower layer decorate with angels sculpture. It maybe consistent with the painting inside the temple depicting the Tripitaka. The ubosot has three entrance doors, the center is crown shape. Another two is castle shape. The center window is crown shape. Another two which is flank is fan of ranks shape.
SculpturePhra Buddha mahaloka phinantha patima
Phra Buddha mahaloka phinantha patima has a unique form of Buddha image that created in the reign of King Rama III, that is slim body, quite round, semi-oval face, small knot hair, flame halo, bent eyebrows, almond-eyed, curves mouth curves almost straight, puppet face, Urna supports the halo, squat in Subduing Mara pose, equal four fingers and wear oblique robe without streak.
ArchitectureUbosot Wat Phra Si Mahathat Bang Khen
Concrete ubosot. Tetrahedron plan. western porch enshrined main Buddha image. Northern and southern porches are lined with cloister in square plan around the ubosot. The roof is covered with glazed tiles. Decorated the gable frame with gable apex, ฺBai-ra-gaa(toothlike ridges on the sloping edges of a gable) Haghgss, and Naga structure. It has a concrete structure. Each gable is decorated with simple Thai motifs doesn’t emphasize on delicacy.
ArchitecturePhra Ubosot Wat Phra Sri Rattanasatsadaram
Phra Ubosot Wat Phra Sri Rattanasatsadaram is a traditional Thai brick-and-stucco architecture in rectangular plan with boundary and faces the east.The three-tiered wooden roof is decorated by blue roof tiles, with orange and yellow roof tiles at the edge line. The cornice is decorated with Chorfah, Bairaka, Naksadung and Hanghong. The floral-carved-wooden pediment is coated with gold lacquer and glass, whose centre displays Vishnu riding Garuda.The exterior wall is decorated with gold-lacquer-and-glass Phoom Khao Bindh pattern, while there are Garuda holding Naga sculptures around the pedestal. Three doorways can be found both in the front and the back, with three pairs of bronze lion figures at the front staircase. There are pillars in dodecagonal plan surrounding the ubosot in the veranda area. Its echinus is a lotus shape and brackets are supporting the eaves.
ArchitecturePhra Ubosot Wat Racha Orasaram
Phra Ubosot Wat Racha Orasaram is a large brick-and-stucco building with large veranda pillars without lotus-shaped echinus. The roof is also made from bricks and drops the traditional elements at the cornice, for instancec, Chorfah, Bairaka and Hang Hong. Its pediment shows some features from Chinese Art, such as Chinese procelain and symbols. The upper pediment show a bouquet and a large vase at the centre and surrounded by a pair of dragons, a pair of phoenixes and other blessing symbols. The lower pediment shows the scenery consists of a house, mountain, Khao Mo, trees and animals.
