History of productionThe legend narrates that this temple was constructed by King Po Rome, who seems to be one of the later Cham monarchs.
ArtThis temple is the last tower in traditional Cham art. Several details of the Cham architectural articulation are now omitted, including the reduction of the number of pilasters. Formerly, it was five in number but Po Rome architects put merely two pilasters, specifically at the corners. However, the spear-liked pointed arch and the lotus-bud-like miniature corner towers are of the same characters as Po Kluang Karai

Religion and beliefBecause the legend mentions that this temple was constructed by King Po Rome, the statue inside the temple is believed by the locals as the statue of King Po Rome.
Related artworkInside the sanctum of Po Rome temple is the statue of multi-headed multi-armed Śiva flanked by the bulls Nandi. This indicates that the temple was dedicated to Shaivaite sect of Hinduism.
