Masjid Ubudiyah is said to be the most beautiful mosque in Malaysia. With the octagonal centralize plan covered with huge dome and Indian tower on 4 sides. This mosque also has huge buttress on eight corner of this octagonal structure.

Even the palace shows the western influence, the usage of plaited bamboo strips wall without any nail is the incredible success of Malaysian architect. The plaited bamboo strips walls also make the difference in color of the structure’s wall from the permanent material. Plaited bamboo strips wall along with the many windows and wooden partitions are good for ventilation and suit for the humid weather of Malaysia.

Perak State Museum has the interesting design because it borrows the Christian church’s façade and uses it as the corner building of the museum. The museum have Palladium plan with the façade that have the pediment flanked with 2 tower which show the progress of the architect who didn’t strict their mind with the limit between religious buildings and government buildings.

The mosque mixes the Indian Mughal style with the Spanish Moorish style. The plan of this structure has 3 domes on the same axis and Chhatri on top of the tower which shows the Indian style. However, the color swap stones and continuous arches show the element of Moorish art.
ArchitectureAbdul Samad Building
The most remarkable element of this building is a clock tower with the dome covered with copper on top which made this building look outstanding. This tower is similar to the clock tower in London while other elements show the mixing influence between Spanish Moorish style and Gothic style such as the horseshoe arch and the arch with the gothic pillar in between on the upper level of the structure.

The elements of the structure show the mixing influences between the Spanish Moorish style and Indian Mughal style. This trend can be found in many British colonial buildings that have been redesigned the beautiful Islamic art under the name Indo-Sarasenic Style. The Moorish element such as the horseshoe arch and the color swap stone of Spain can be found with the Indian Chatris domes and towers.

Becuase Luang Phra Bang art during 24 century BE. was hugely influenced by Rattanakosin art, the Chinese gatekeepers of the royal taste featured in some temples such as Wat Long Khun, Luang Phra Bang. However, it should be noted that the fact that some royal members of Luang Phra Bang dynasty used to live in Bangkok might have the reason for a big influence of Rattankosin art in thsi area.
