The characters of this Buddha image are of the normal Amaravati or Sri Lankan art. Low Ushanisha, the curly hairs, one-shoulder-covered robe with the left rim raising towards the left hand in the shape of triangle are some of the characters of Amaravati or Sri Lankan Buddha images. The right hand is in Vitarka Mudra while the left holds the tip of the garment in symmetrical manner, which also affiliate to Sith Indian or Sri Lankan art.

The head of this Bhodhisavara wears the crown like monk with a trianglular cornice according the Pala-Chava arts. He wears the long Roti cloth according to the southern India-central Chava art. This sculpture has thick mouth and protuding eyes, which are the local characteristics. In addition, yajñopavita robe is also missing. This makes it different from Chava art.

However, kala-makala motif in My Son A1 has distinctive feature. Makala comes out of the ear of kala. Besides, it spits out chamois on both sides

Vishanu is the guardian of the universe. He has two mouths: Garuda and Naga. Both appear on this pediment. Garuda is the mouth when he travels to palces, whereas Naga is his bed when he sleeps on the milk sea.

This head is one of the best example of My Son A1 sculpture. The crown is decorated with many pieces of decorations. The neckpiece is between the front part of the hat. The neckpiece is a set multi-tier triangles. This characteristic shows a strong relationhsip with Chava art, which was influencial in this period.

This corner human decoration is one of the best examples of My Son A1 sculpture. The crown is decorated with many pieces of decorations. The neckpiece is between the front part of the hat. Besides, My Son A1 –Bin Din Prasat usually have “corner decoration”, which is normally a human putting their hands together to show respect.

This sculpture is one of the best representations of the sculpture in the later period. Only half of the body remains. It sits in a crossed-legs position with the legs merging with the back. The face has some beard showing the Chinese and Vietnamese influence and it wears the cap.
