History of production | Evidence concerning the construction has not been found. The dating was conjectured through architectural features of the main tower. The main tower which is built in the square plan, no projections, with bricks, together with the motifs of relief sculpture over lintels all indicate that it is of the pre-Angkorian structure, about the 7th century AD. To the north, there was a subsidiary tower with a lintel and colonnettes to which Professor M.C. Subhadradis Diskul said to be of Prei Khmeng style, about 657-707 AD. Hence the dating of the main tower is about the same time, according to Diskul. The lintel is now kept at the Surin National Museum. |
