Religion and belief | The torture of Narakiri elephant is the event when Thevadhat was trying to kill the Lord Buddha. He made Narakiri elephant become mad and let it attach the Lord Buddha when he was receiving the offerings. When the elephant was running to the Lod Buddha, Anon came in the way willing to sacrifice his life to save the Lord Buddha. The Lord Buddha then performed a miracle by moving the elephant off the way and taught the elephant some sermons. The elephant came to its sense again and crouched on the ground to pay respect. He used his hand to touch the head of the elephant and gave it some lectures. |
