History of production

King Rama V ordered Prince Prabporapaksa to design a pavillion for his visiting to Khao Sam Roi Yod National Park. The constuction was managed by Praya Cholayudhayodhin.

Conservation

Khuha Grihasna Throne Hall was listed and declared an ancient monument in the Government Gazette, no. 69 section 60 on the 30th September 1952.

Art

Khuha Grihasna Throne Hall is an airy traditional style building that has four porticas. The northern and southern porticos are longer than the western and eastern parts. The building lies on the mound at the centre of the cave.

Key academic information

Khuha Grihasna Throne Hall was built as a living quarter of King Rama V when he visited Khao Sam Rai Yod National Park. He stoped by the Phraya Nakhon Cave on the 20th June 1890 AD during his journey to Malay penninsula.
