Religion and beliefIn the reign of king Taloong of Nuryongyan dynasty, the Buddha’s footprints of Chavesedtong were found. They were located on the riverside. Therefore, it was believed that they were the footprints beside Thammatha river according to the Theravada legend.
Related artworkBecause most of the footprints since the king Taloong were the replicas of the foorprints at Chavesedtong, there is also water stored at foorprints as if they were at Thammatha river. Also, the foorprints were always surrounded with Naga as if they were worshiped from Naga at the river.
