History of production-
ArtOne important aspect of eastern Java sculpture is the back started to feature “Bua leaf” which is a unique feature of this period. Besides, sculptures were also decorated fully with ornaments and flowers. Jewellry earrings and “Yatchayopreweet” were decoaretd with pearls and flowers and so was the belt.

Religion and beliefIn Eastern Java art, Hinduism of all sects and Buddhism were united making Shiva, Vishanu, Buddha and Bhothisavara all appear in the same place. Such a process also increased the popularity of Harihara in the period.
Related artworkAn important characterisitc of Harihara in eastern Java art is having four arms and they hold similar things with Vishanu including discus, cornch shell and stick. Howver, one of the four hands holds rosary similar to Shiva.
