Religion and belief

Multi-handed Avalokiteshvara with one hand holding a lasso is called “Amokabada Or Amoghapasa” which is a common attitude in Java art. The four attendants including Syamtara, Suthonkumara, Haiyakri and Brikuti had previously been used in Pala art. At the bottom of the sculpture, there are seven jewels of a king. This shows that Avalokiteshvara is also a king.
