History of productionLuang Phra Bang art during 24-25 centuries BE. was hugely influenced by Rattanakosin art. However, it should be noted that the fact that some royal members of Luang Phra Bang dynasty used to live in Bangkok might have the reason for a big influence of Rattankosin art in thsi area.
ArtInfluences of Rattanakosin in the paintings includes drawing of palaces and characters as well as the realistic color of sky and landscape representing western influences. This painting may be related to Rattanakosin art during King Rama IV and V.

Religion and beliefThis painting depicts the Lord Buddha leaving the city to get ordained. The picture shows Prince Siddhartha riding Karnataka horse in the sky. At the bottom, there are demons and the goddess of earth squeezing her hair to flood the demon army. The western landscape of flooding creates bird eye view perspective.
