Art | Paintings in Tyokpye is an example of paintings in the late Pegan period that artists drew large human figures. The face clearly bends down. Empty space is filled with many double curves. This is different from the early Pegan. However, several features such as hot-shading colors and drawing of artificial trees still follow Pala traditions. |

Religion and belief | These pictures may show Bhodhi Throne and Animis Chedi scenes, both of which are parts of the Lord Buddha seven weeks of jor after enlighthenment. In the scriptures, it is said that the Lord buddha stayed under Bhodhi tree seven days after his enlighthenment. So, many gods questioned if he did not have any other things to do. He then showed a double miracle to them. Next, he stood up and looked at Bhodhi treee without blinking his eyes for seven days. |
