History of production | Masjid Jamek was established in 1909 by a British architect. The Sultan of Selangor came to the open ceremony of this mosque. This mosque is one of the oldest mosque in Kuala Lumpur and the first mosque of Kuala Lumpur in the colonial era. |

Art | The mosque mixes the Indian Mughal style with the Spanish Moorish style. The plan of this structure has 3 domes on the same axis and Chhatri on top of the tower which shows the Indian style. However, the color swap stones and continuous arches show the element of Moorish art. |
