History of production | Jinakalamalipakaranam said Phra Chao Kaeng Kom was built during the reign of King Tilokkarat in 1484, he ordered chief official Sihakota and chief official Anakitjatibodi to cast it like Phra Lavapura at Wat Pa Tan Maha Vihara. The Yonok Chronicles have provided similar information, specifying the name of the Buddha image, Phra Pa Jal Noi, built in 1477. In the reign of King Kawila, this Buddha image was brought to house at Wat Sri koet until today. |

Art | This Buddha image sit in a half-lotus seat and shows subduing mara posture. It has a square face, eyes looked straight, thick lips, stacked lips, hairline, small knot hairs, high flame halo, streaky ends large sanghati reaching belly, right hand placed at the center of the shin, unequal length fingers, thumb that separate from other fingers and prominent shin. |
