ArchitectureKhuong My

Khuong My is a non-symmetrical triple temple as the biggest tower is at the side and the smaller one is at the centre. The style of the flute and the decoration of the pilasters of each tower are not identical. There is a Dong Duong-styled arch decorated at the front portico of the tower.

At the front portico of Kuong My, there are niches decorated with the Dong Duong style arch. The arch is characterized by the lotus-bud –like apex and the continuous half-arches filled with the floral motifs. The style of arch is similar to that at Dong Duong. However the style of the pilaster is assignable to My Son A1 style.

The body of the towers at Kuong My is punctuated with 5 pilasters, only 4 of which are visible as the central one is hidden by the central niche. Each pilaster is decorated with the scrolls ended with the flame-like floral motif, typical to My Son A1 style. The flute in the middle of the pilasters penetrates the capital, also typical to My son A1 style. Nevertheless, the style of the arch of the niche is assigned to Dong Duong style.
