History of productionSaint Joseph Institute was built in 1852 by a group of missionary called “La Salle Brothers” from France. It was built to be a school. Later, in 1988, it school was moved to make way for the restoration of the building. Now, the building has been turned into Singapore Art Museum
ArtIt is one of the most beautiful palladian buildings in Singapore. It consists of the middle porch, which has an arched pediment and the dome. The wings are arched and columns. The archs at the top is divided into two parts, making it look pretty much like Gothic art. However, the overall component of the building is still very much of classical art.
