History of productionJamae Masjid is located in the China Town. It is one of the oldest Masjids in Singapore and was built in 1826 by Tamil muslims. It is located near Srimari Amman, which is a holy place for Tamils who follow Hinduism.
ArtThe entrance gate of the Masjid has two artificial towers on both sides. This kind of tower consists of multi-tiered square towers similar to that of Nagore Dargah, which is the graveyard of Sufi , an important saint in Tamil state, southern India. This kind of tower also appears at the replica of Nagore Dargah in Singapore and Pe-Nang as well.
