History of productionIn Basilica of Quiapo, there is the most respected statue of Jesus Christ in Manila, the Philippines - Black Nazarene. It is said that this sculpture was brought from Mexico, one of Spain’s colony. It is made of dark wood which is believed to promote holiness of Black Nazarene.
