History of production | Although the legend and the age of this Buddha Image can be dated back to the reign of Chaiyachetthathirat. From the pattern of the Ubosot (Sim), however, the age of the Buddha Image can only be dated back to the reign of King Mahachivit Srisavangvong in around late 25 century BE. |

Art | In the reign of King Mahachivit Srisavangvong, the carving school School in Luang Prabang was commenced. This School preferred to engrave angel images on top of the flora pattern that is the stalk of peony flower. The sample of images of this School can be seen at the door of the Sim of Wat Visoun, Luang Prabang. |
