History of productionBanteay Srei, the temple bilt by Yajnavaraha during the reign of King Jayavarman V, is the temple dedicated to Shiva and his two consorts.
ArtThe pediment is in the shape of triangle composing of multi-foils pediment edge. At the both ends of the pediment are the multi-headed serpents anticipating the normal style of the pediment in the later Angkorian Period. In the middle of the pediment is the figure of Narasimha tearing the chest of the demon Hiranyakashipu.
