Art | Small bronze sculptures in central Javanese arts may have been a monk's personal sculptures. The style of the costumes, iconography, and the style of back and the throne is a lot similar to Pala arts, especially the round shape back decorated with flames. The style of the robes, however, is mixed between Gupta arts found in Ajanta caves and Pala arts. For example, the length of the robe is above the chest which is the style of Pala arts but the rupture of the robe between the laps shows Gupta arts in Ajanta caves. |
