History of productionThe clock tower was built in 1909 as the memorial for James WW Birch, the British founder of Ipoh who was assassinated. The lower level of this tower decorates with the picture of the famous people who play an important role in the world civilization, for example: the religion founders, sages, philosophers and scientists.
ArtThe tower includes clock and 2 overlap bell towers. The elements of the tower uses western style; bell tower with the Doric pillars and arch, the chamfering plan up to the volute which was popular in Baroque art. On each side on the chamfer point has been decorated with the personification figures as the decoration style of western art.
