History of productionKing Bodawpaya had this gigantic stupa constructed to be the loftiest stupa in Burma as well as in the world. The construction of this stupa by the royal order was meant to dignify the king as the emperor of the universe.
ArtMingun Stupa comprises the solid colossal body meant for supporting the roof and the spire. Unfortunately the stupa had never been finished as the project was abandoned after the demise of the king, Only the lofty body still remains.
