Legend

The Legend of The Journey Along The World of Lord Buddha said that when Lord Buddha arrived at Phu Kam Yao, he received alms from the goldsmith and gave his hair to him because he saw that this place is suitable for religious settings. It eventually led to the creation of Phra Chao Ton Luang. This legend is similar to other legends about the creation of Buddha images or Chedies in Lanna that mentioned the visit to the areas of Lord Buddha.
